20 Photos to Inspire INDIA Wanderlust

Take a look at our 20 photos to inspire INDIA Wanderlust and see for yourself why you simple much explore this crazy country at least once in your lifetime!

When you travel a lot, people often ask you which country has been you favourite!?  My answer is always India!  Travelling India for me was a mixture of pleasure, confusion, anger and appreciation and I definitely departed feeling a little more humble.

The people, the culture, the rubbish, the colours, the traditions, the food and much much more are all what make India such an interesting place to explore.

I’m not sure I would rush back in a hurry, I have to be honest but I feel grateful that I had the opportunity to scrape the surface of this magical land and get a little insight in the way of life in India.

Varanasi is a city on the banks of the Ganges. It is the holiest of the seven scared cities in India and definitely something you need to experience when in India.

Jaisalmer is known as the “Golden City” of Rajasthan. The majority of the town is made from yellow sandstone, hence the name Golden City. Located in the That Desert, this was one of the highlights of our trip.

A way of life, Allahabad

Luckily we were in Allahabad to witness the event of the Kumbh Mela, which takes place here every 12 years! It involves ritual bathing at the point where the Ganges meet two other rivers. It was an amazing experience, and you can catch the next one in 2025!
